Sunwin 50kW AC Liquid-Cooled Rack Mounted Resistive Load Bank

Sunwin 50kW AC Liquid-Cooled Rack Mounted Resistive Load Bank

1. Product Overview

The Sunwin 50kW AC liquid-cooled resistive load bank is a high-performance rack-mount liquid-cooled load testing device designed for scenarios requiring precise thermal simulation and power testing, such as data centers and laboratories. Utilizing advanced liquid cooling technology, it efficiently dissipates 50kW of heat within a compact rack space, making it an ideal choice for server thermal testing, cooling system verification, and load testing of power equipment such as UPS and generators.

With a 75 L/min liquid circulation cooling system for high-efficiency heat dissipation, Modbus TCP intelligent monitoring, parallel operation of up to 250 devices, and comprehensive alarms with automatic unloading protection, the unit brings precise, safe and reliable load testing to the rack environment.

2. Why Liquid-Cooled Load Testing

As AI computing infrastructure grows rapidly, rack power density in data centers keeps rising, traditional air cooling is approaching its limits, and liquid cooling has become a key technology path for high-density data centers. At the same time, data center UPS, backup generators and cooling systems must be verified through load testing (load bank testing) to ensure reliable operation in critical moments.

Compared with conventional air-cooled load banks, a liquid cooled load bank discharges far less hot air into the test environment, operates at lower noise and occupies less space, and can be installed in standard racks while connecting directly to the cooling loop — making it ideal for indoor testing, equipment room commissioning and data center commissioning. The Sunwin 50kW rack-mount liquid-cooled load bank is engineered for exactly this need.

3. Key Technology Highlights

3.1 High-Efficiency Heat Dissipation

The unit adopts liquid heating tubular resistors with a 75 L/min liquid circulation cooling system, achieving a temperature rise of ≤30°C and an operating water pressure of 4.8 bar. It efficiently removes load-generated heat and delivers stable 50kW heat dissipation in a compact rack space, providing precise thermal simulation for high-density data centers.

3.2 Intelligent Monitoring and Parallel Expansion

The unit supports the Ethernet Modbus TCP protocol, transmitting flow rate, temperature, pressure, liquid level and detailed electrical parameters in real time. It supports parallel operation of up to 250 devices, allowing flexible capacity expansion to meet the testing requirements of large-scale data centers and laboratories.

3.3 Comprehensive Safety Protection

The unit integrates low flow, over-temperature, over-pressure and liquid leakage alarms, along with an automatic unloading protection mechanism, fuse protection and over-current protection, safeguarding both the equipment and the test environment.

3.4 Compact Rack Deployment

With rack dimensions of 900×680×1055mm and a full load weight of 343.6kg, the unit perfectly fits standard data center environments; the enclosure measures 448×716×400mm with an estimated weight of about 50kg, and is equipped with 3 carrying handles for easy installation, movement and maintenance.

3.5 High-Quality Component Configuration

Core components use Siemens PLC, Schneider contactors and an MCGS HMI. The cabinet is made of cold rolled steel plate with a 304 stainless steel tank inside; the control chamber is rated IP31, and the liquid connection uses stainless steel pipe with a flange DN25, ensuring long-term reliable operation with industrial-grade quality.

5. Typical Applications

For server thermal testing, the unit supports thermal characterization and heat dissipation verification of servers and IT equipment. For cooling system verification, it validates the performance of rack cooling, liquid cooling loops (CDU) and airflow paths by simulating the heat characteristics of real IT loads.

For power equipment testing, it verifies the load capacity of UPS, backup generators and power distribution systems. For laboratory testing, its high-precision thermal simulation and programmable loading make it suitable for R&D verification, burn-in testing and standards compliance testing in laboratory scenarios.
